Research Management Professional (RMP) – Outside Africa

R10,000.00

R5,000.00 (Africa) or R10,000.00 (Other continents) initial payment and then R4,000.00 (Africa) or R8,000.00 (Other continents) every 5 years for renewal of the professional status.

Mid-to advanced career research managers with an undergraduate qualification plus a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience OR a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience. The applicant must be a member of a professional research management association.

Achievement in and practice of research management through a self-assessment of competence at management level. The assessment will be done using the Professional Competency Framework (PCF) [click here to download].

Declaration signed by both the applicant and the supervisor/line manager.

MAINTAINING THE RECOGNITION

  • Designation valid for a period of 5 years.
  • Maintain membership of a professional research management association.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities – accumulate 60 CE Points relevant to a management level for renewal of the status.
