Prof. Madara Ogot is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research, Innovation and Enterprise at the University of Nairobi in Kenya, and the president of the East African Research and Innovation Management Association (EARIMA). Prof Ogot has been a faculty member in the departments of Mechanical Engineering at Rutgers University, Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Nairobi. He has served as the Managing Director for University of Nairobi Enterprises and Services Ltd, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Maseno University, and as the Director of Research at the University of Nairobi.
Prof Ogot holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Pennsylvania State University) and a PhD in Business Administration (Nairobi). He has published widely in refereed journals and has mentored and supervised postgraduate students both in Mechanical Engineering and Strategic Management.
