Prof. Joe Graffam is Professor Emeritus and the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research at Deakin University in Australia. Prior to his appointment to that position, he held several senior positions at the university, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Academic and Chair of the Academic Board of the University. His research has focused on the development and application of an ecological model for the study of community integration of people with disabilities and, since 2000, also on the reintegration of ex-prisoners into the community. He has an international reputation in both of these areas.
Prof. Graffam is the Chair of the Australasian Research Management Society Accreditation Council, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a registrant of the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, Deputy Chair of WISE Employment Ltd, WISEAbility Pty Ltd, and the Geelong Region Local Learning and Employment Network.
